Our award-winning slate of programs—spanning training, education, mentorship, professional practice and creative collaboration—build upon our ongoing mission: to expand the ecosystem where independents can do their best work, advocate for their needs and build thriving careers.

The 1,500+ journalists, podcasters, editors, documentarians, engineers and sound designers who form AIR’s vibrant network of audio makers span 47 states and 30 countries. We continually work to meet each of our members wherever they are in their careers, whether they are newly breaking into the industry, on the cusp of launching an independent series, or navigating the institutional complexities of a modern public media workplace.
