Audio Flux invites anyone and everyone to create short audio works in response to a set of creative prompts. For Circuit 06: Creative Tension, we teamed up with Lorna Hamilton-Brown (artist, activist, educator, knitter extraordinaire) add designed prompts inspired by Lorna’s artwork, particularly her “Tension Birds” project, which explores the mental health benefits of knitting.

During this Happy Hours/Happy Ears Listening Party, we’ll play all 12 Audio Flux Circuit 06 Finalists, invite their producers to say a few words, and Lorna Hamilton-Brown will join to talk about the collaboration and the original tension birds she knitted in response to the official Circuit 06 fluxworks.

This listening party is free and open to all.

Attendees will come away with their ears full of dazzling short audio works, an immediate sense of community and shared vision (for audio) and inspiration to participate in future Audio Flux circuits – we hope!
