About Tyler

Tyler Adams (pseudonym) founded Goodpain Company after learning to sit with questions that have no clean answers. After two decades in healthcare and media leadership (Fox Entertainment, Bain & Company, Children's Hospital Colorado, Optum), Tyler's trajectory shifted when his daughter's near-drowning accident shattered his understanding of mastery and control.

What emerged wasn't traditional resilience but the recognition that authentic transformation happens in community, not isolation. Goodpain creates space for conversations about the full range of life's intensities – not just the difficult seasons, but the unexpected joys, professional victories, family celebrations, and quiet moments of connection that punctuate our shared human experience. The platform includes podcast conversations about the messy middle of transformation, newsletter pieces examining how psychology and philosophy inform lived questions, and ongoing research into why authentic community restores what individual therapy often cannot reach.

Through Goodpain's podcast and newsletter, Tyler creates conversations about enduring life's intensities without the inspirational overlay. His doctoral research examines how community-based models restore mental health while individual approaches can increase isolation.

Tyler seeks collaborations with podcasters exploring similar territory: the space between crisis and acceptance, the difference between performance optimization and authentic growth, and how we build institutions that serve people rather than consuming them. His approach centers the Apprenticeship Leadership Model – understanding that true mastery means creating conditions where others can step into their own wholeness.

Current projects include a flagship podcast series on family trauma and recovery (season 1), a newsletter examining contemplative approaches to critical thinking, and research on wisdom transmission in community contexts.

Future seasons will cover shared stories, shared questions, and shared wisdom about parenting, caregiving, institutions, civic responsibility, ancestry & kinship, and a host of other topics.

Tyler brings both business credibility and hard-won personal insights to conversations about sustainable approaches to life's inevitable challenges.
