About Samia
I'm Samia, a trilingual podcast producer, editor, and sound designer with a passion for science and culture. Before I started podcasting, I did research in astrophysics, but after a few years studying far-off worlds, I became more interested in the worlds of people as seen through their stories. Now, I freelance for various clients, making podcasts in English, French, and Spanish. I was one of the sound designers behind the Duolingo French Podcast's Webby-nominated series "The Rebel Thief." I was the sound designer for this episode of Le Voleur Rebel, a historical fiction podcast aimed at French language learners. I worked with a composer and the editorial team to create the sound of this episode (as part of a 6-episode series).
I co-produced and sound designed the final segment of this episode, "River of Voices," an audio poem interwoven with first-person stories about water.
