Rob is available forI'm always on the hunt for opportunities to story edit and report/produce narrative-driven, sound-rich stories and podcasts. And, as an instructor who taught narrative, audio storytelling for over twenty years, I'm available to help radio and podcast producers and reporters take their work to the next level.
I'm a story editor, reporter, and producer for radio, podcasts, and multimedia. I produces a podcast on audio storytelling for PRX and Transom called The Sound School Podcast. I recently story edited a major production called The Turning, a series about former nuns in Mother Teresa's order as well as a series for the Children's Radio Foundation called I Will Not Grow Old Here, about a young woman trying to find her way out of a township in South Africa. I'm currently working on projects with Rococo Punch, Pacific Content, Goat Rodeo, and ACB Stories.
Rob taught documentary reporting and storytelling for over twenty years at The Salt Institute for Documentary Studies and The Transom Story Workshop. Students in his workshops have gone on to work in public media and podcasting. He's available to teach workshops for reporters and producers in radio and podcasting. In the past year, Rob has taught workshops for Gimlet Media, Radio Slovenia, ACB Stories, Canadaland, Kugel and Niere, and Novel Audio.
A ten-part, serialized podcast about former nuns in Mother Teresa's order. Sisters who worked closely with Mother Teresa describe her bold vision and devotion to charity and prayer. But they also share stories of suffering and forbidden love, abuse and betrayal. If you make a lifelong vow, what does it mean to break it?
