About Rachel
Rachel is an audio producer based in Lubbock, Texas.
Rachel started apprenticing and working in the audio field at the age of 18 while pursuing two music degrees. She has been a consistent freelancer since 2010, recording and editing for local music ensembles such as Lubbock Chorale, TTU Women's Chorale, TTU University Choir, First United Methodist Church's Vesper Series, and the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra. Rachel has also provided studio support for Dr. Angela Mariani of Harmonia out of WFIU.
Rachel has produced audio-drama podcasts providing immersive soundscapes to build stories for Codename Blank and the horror anthology Hearing the Haunted.
For the last 8 years, Rachel worked as a program producer for Texas Tech Public Media, KTTZ-FM, 89.1. Her time spent there was devoted to two weekly, hour-long music shows, Music Crossroads of Texas and Noche de Tango. In 2021, Rachel created and produced the show In the Grow for podcast platforms and KTTZ-FM, which she co-hosted with plant professor, Vikram Baliga. In the Grow focuses on empowering people to learn more about growing plants in a fun way, without breaking the bank.
Rachel's is now seeking her next adventure in the freelance world. She is devoted to storytelling and connecting people through audio.

In a world filled with talking animals, cartoony villains, and crime, two detectives must solve the crimes no one else can. Detective Howard Blank is trying to solve the mystery of his past, and his partner, Johnny Taco the dinosaur, is the only one willing to work with him. They must learn to work together to save the day.
Hosted by Curtis Peoples, Music Crossroads of Texas highlights the rich musical heritage of West Texas and beyond. The show plays many standards from the region but also incorporates underrepresented artists and music that should be heard widely!
Hearing the Haunted is an audio drama anthology podcast created within the Sireniverse, a term that was spawned from Sirenicide, a serialized audio drama podcast that started in 2016. The Sirenistyle of storytelling lives on through Hearing the Haunted and might even shed some new light on some old friends. However, these stories stand on their own and are enjoyable with no knowledge of the serialized show. The host and creator of Hearing the Haunted, Johnny Stitches, will introduce each tale before it begins. The stories here will range from a haunting assortment of horror, drama, mystery, romance, comedy, and beyond. HTH releases each story as its own episode. The show is listener and creator-funded with a growing community of supporters from all over the world.
