Ninna Gaensler-Debs

Ninna Gaensler-Debs is the co-director of Uncuffed, the award-winning radio training program and podcast produced by incarcerated people in California prisons in collaboration with KALW Public Media. Uncuffed offers professional training to people in the carceral system so they can be empowered to tell their own stories. Through the radio and podcast training programs, participants share their experiences to create dialogue and challenge stereotypes, develop job skills, and inspire change. In her role, Ninna helps guide the program’s editorial vision and leads its core work—from developing and teaching audio workshops inside prisons to supporting the continued growth of Uncuffed’s programming.
