About Matt
Matt Purdy is a podcast producer with 15 years of experience making radio and podcasts for organizations like MIT, Marketplace, and WGBH. He’s currently producing What It's Like To Be..., hosted by New York Times bestselling author Dan Heath.
He was part of a team that won an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award in 2014 for a series on race and inequality in the Baltimore region. His work has also won a ShortDoc Award from the Third Coast Audio Festival in Chicago. Before journalism, he taught English for the Peace Corps in Bulgaria, bicycled across the US and Europe, and acted in a play or two.
