About Keith

I spent nearly two decades working as a multimedia journalist, documentary photographer, and filmmaker, telling stories across photography, video, audio, and digital platforms. My reporting focused on public health, the environment, migration, conflict, culture, and the ways larger systems shape people's lives. Over the years, my work took me from post-earthquake Haiti and Arab Spring-era Egypt to Cambodia, the Navajo Nation, and communities throughout the United States.

Much of my career was spent at Voice of America, where I worked as an International Multimedia Journalist and later as a Multimedia Production Specialist. I reported, produced, edited, and managed multimedia projects for global audiences, often working at the intersection of visual storytelling, journalism, and documentary practice. My documentary work has screened at film festivals in the United States and internationally.

Today, I am pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Prescott College with a concentration in Somatic Therapy. While it may seem like a career change, I see it as a continuation of the same questions that drew me to journalism in the first place: how people make meaning of their experiences, how relationships shape us, and how larger cultural narratives influence our lives.

I am also the creator and host of I Feel Like I Should. This podcast uses conversations about music as a starting point for exploring identity, belonging, family, work, and the expectations people carry throughout their lives. The show brings together journalists, artists, educators, creators, and others for conversations that often begin with a song and end in a much deeper place.

I am interested in documentary, audio, and multimedia projects that explore identity, culture, mental health, community, and human connection. I am particularly drawn to collaborative work that combines strong storytelling with curiosity, nuance, and a willingness to sit with complexity.
