About Jeb

Jeb Sharp is an award-winning audio journalist who has been lucky to see the public media landscape from almost every angle: reporter, producer, host, editor, show runner, podcaster. Jeb started out at the Graduate School of Journalism at U.C. Berkeley. Her first radio job was as reporter and then news director at Raven Radio, KCAW, in Sitka, Alaska. She also worked as a general assignment reporter at WBUR and then moved to The World at WGBH which became her professional home for twenty years. She won various honors for her work at The World including two Overseas Press Club awards, a Dart Award for Excellence in Coverage of Trauma, and a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard. She also created, hosted and produced The World’s first history podcast, How We Got Here. Other podcast work includes a season as producer and editor for FRONTLINE’s podcast, The FRONTLINE Dispatch. Jeb is now an independent reporter, producer, editor and sometimes consultant and a part-time lecturer at Northeastern University’s School of Journalism.
