About I-Yun
I’m a bilingual audio producer and reporter drawn to stories that bridge local and global perspectives. Originally from Taiwan, I’ve reported on Indigenous rights, national long-term care policies, and the marriage equality movement, and produced podcasts on global affairs, soft power diplomacy, and China’s influence on Taiwan.
Now based in the Bay Area, I’ve covered education, housing, city and state policies, and immigrant rights for public radio, while continuing to explore my long-standing interests in global politics, human rights, mental health, LGBTQ+ communities, and culture. Recently, I produced a deeply personal audio documentary on survivors of suicide loss and earned my Master's degree at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism with a concentration on audio production.
I’m excited to collaborate on projects that bring overlooked perspectives to the forefront and experiment with style, format, and the possibilities of sound.
