About Charlie
I'm a Storyteller, disguised as a producer, editor & sound designer. I work with mission-driven media projects that aim to solve problems, uplift our society, and create a better world.
I grew up crawling around the CNN, ABC, & NPR newsrooms where my father ran the news broadcast units. I earned a bachelor's degree in Audio Production and after working with music & sound for picture, I made the full circle back to radio in 2018 when I transitioned into Podcasting.
In 2020 I was hired by Media Network Accelerate Change to create and test a string of Podcasts for their ventures. One of the shows, The Pulso Podcast, would resonate deeply with Latino listeners and go on to become an award-winning show. Since 2020 I’ve led the team at Pulso to create over 45 narrative episodes, that explore the complexities of being Latino in the US. In 2023 The Pulso Podcast was selected to be part of the PRX Journalism Podcast Accelerator, a paid 12-week development program from PRX My work at Pulso has been featured on Latino USA, NPR, & The Making Contact Podcast. I regularly freelance as a Producer, Sound Designer, and Podcast Consultant
