About Avery

Avery Moore Kloss is the founder and lead creator at her podcasting and personal historian company Folktale Studio. As a journalist, marketer, podcast host and award-winning radio documentarian, Avery’s passion is in helping others tell their stories through audio. Avery currently teaches in the Digital Media and Journalism program at Wilfrid Laurier University in Brantford, Canada and was their inaugural Podcaster-In-Residence in 2020 and 2021. Avery is a graduate of Carleton University’s School of Journalism and the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. Avery just completed a PRX Ready to Learn Podcast Accelerator where she helped create a pilot for a kid's podcast called "Keyshawn the Keymaker", that later became the PBS Kids podcast "Keyshawn Solves It".
