I'm a writer, teacher, and the creator of reality blurred, and have spent the past 26 years writing about reality TV, focusing on how it’s made and what it means.
As president of the Television Critics Association, and as a writing teacher and coach, I work to help other writers, TV critics, and journalists.
Last year, I was named one of the top 50 creator journalists for my work on reality blurred, which I founded in 2000, and has evolved from a blog to a media company that publishes analysis, criticism, and reporting on reality television.
My writing has appeared on NPR and in The Los Angeles Times, Vulture, Playboy, The Daily Beast, and other publications, and live in Florida with my husband; our three delightful cats; and my anxiety.
