She is working on a new venture where she will reveal the stories about the challenges women in Appalachia face. It is great to know that people like Octavia are working to perserve the art of Storytelling. We taped this conversation at her kitchen table in Orlando Kentucky in Rockcastle County in early March 2020 before the Covid-19 lockdown began. We used two ATR2100 mics connected with XLR jacks into a TASCAM DR-40 recorder.

We've been friends since we met at a Toastmasters meeting in 1979. Today, in his eighties, he is an accomplished storyteller. In this epidode, we talk about his life and storytelling. As a professional corporate storyteller, he’s helped ninety-eight companies develop their stories and learn how to present them. He also tells stories to entertain, inspire, and teach. I first heard him tell stories as entertainment at the annual gathering for an organization where I was a volunteer. He was fantastic and I became a fan.
