I conceptualized, reported, produced, and hosted this series, a 7-episode audio documentary called Cover Up: The Pill Plot.
What's it about? Well, back in the ‘90s, a ragtag group plotted an international drug smuggling scheme and set up a secretive lab to cook up tablets. But they weren’t trafficking narcotics — they were fighting to bring the abortion pill to America. The Pill Plot takes listeners inside the epic struggle facing activists who battled presidents, the Supreme Court, militant anti-abortionists, would-be assassins, and murders to bring this drug to America. This show was a labor of love — I spent a year talking to radical feminist punks and militant anti-abortion activists about this incredible story that sounds almost too wild to be true. The pill accounts for nearly 60% of abortions nationwide - and has become the new center in the battle for reproductive access in the aftermath of the overturning of Roe V. Wade.
I conceptualized, reported, produced, and hosted this series, a 12-episode audio documentary called BioHacked: Family Secrets.
The show was quickly listed as the No. 1 science series in Apple Podcasts and peaked at No. 9 in their general 200 Charts following its launch in March 2022. With more than one million downloads in the first eight weeks, BioHacked was picked by Apple Podcasts as one of its most loved shows of 2022.
