About Tanya

Hi!  A little about me: I'm a veteran public radio journalist, podcaster, and trainer/educator.  I've been a reporter, host and news manager at NPR stations in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Colorado.  My stories have aired on NPR, Marketplace, PRI, CBC, BBC and elsewhere.  I host a business and technology podcast for Deloitte Insights and served as writer and audio editor/mixer/sound designer for the award-winning Following Harriet podcast and Alabama Civil Rights Trail podcast, as well as founding senior producer of Allrecipes Homemade podcast.   When I'm not making content, I'm teaching students at Mercer University's Center for Collaborative Journalism to do it.  I teach a variety of courses, but specialize in data journalism, media entrepreneurship, and audio storytelling.   Oh... and I'm also working really hard to turn my ABD in a PhD.
