About Rob

I work internationally as a sound designer and audio engineer.

I have worked / work for companies such as BBC, NPR, KQED, Wondery, Novel, Whistledown and Cup & Nuzzle.

I have over 25 years professional experience and the recipient of several Murrow and Webby Awards and sound designer/ editor on a few Emmy Award winning documentaries. Over the years I have worked in Theatre, Film, Television, Radio, Games, Podcasts and Live Events for some of the worlds biggest and best known companies, shows and experiences.

I am passionate about sound and the way it helps to tell and drive stories, feed emotions and fuel passion. I believe sound, sound design and music are as fundamental to a production as dialogue, image or game play.

I approach a project holistically, working with writers, producers and actors to understand the overall tone and emotion, which allows me to develop an audio signature for the show.

Additionally, I also have over 20 years experience as a freelance journalist, writing, reporting and editing on subjects surrounding professional audio in numerous international publications.

Sound should be dynamic, sound should be subtle and sometimes the best sound is silence!
