About Rachel

I am a queer NY based producer, writer, director and researcher with experience across podcasts, film, TV, digital media, and theater. I co-created and produce Cruising, the chart-topping, Webby honored, narrative-documentary podcast about lesbian bars + queer. history in the U.S. This project took me on a 30 day, 10,000 mile road trip around the U.S. to visit each of these spaces and interview the humans that run them and the humans that call them a home. Now in its second season, I continue to story produce and script each 40-75 minute episode and I produce all digital video content for our ever-growing Instagram (34k+ followers) and TikTok (79k+ followers) communities. I am also currently a producer on the new Roseanne rewatch podcast Chicken Shirt and have served as a Producer for the interview-style podcast The Black Wine Guy Experience.

In TV and digital media, my Associate Producer credits include Sometimes When We Touch (a Paramount+ docu-series), Customer Wars (an A+E clip show), and various brand campaigns including Patron, Invisibobble, Riondo, and Apothic. Production Coordinator credits include New York Homicide (an Oxygen true crime series), Rifkin on Rifkin (an Oxygen documentary), and Eye Candy (a Roku Channel competition show).

I have a passion for documentary storytelling and for scripted work inspired by true events--including but not limited to anything having to do with LGBTQ+ history and culture! I am particularly interested in story producing and writing work and also am a stellar fact-checker, producer, researcher, and social media manager.

I have a background in theater as well, and have directed and associate directed various indie and off-off Broadway projects over the years. I thoroughly enjoy working with actors and am available for scripted audio directing projects and voice actor coaching.

I have a B.S. in Theater (directing/playwriting track) and English from Skidmore College, and have trained at the Moscow Art Theater School.
