About Nick

Nick Andersen is a 2012 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he studied American music history, multimedia design and French. While at UNC, he was an editor and senior reporter at the Daily Tar Heel, and also served as a DJ on the university's WXYC-FM alternative music broadcast. He was a member of the 2012 News21 WhoCanVote? investigative reporting project, and his work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post and the Philadelphia Inquirer. He was a digital arts intern at NPR in the spring of 2013, the founding editor of Eater Detroit in summer 2013, and is currently archives producer of NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross and the senior producer of the independent podcast, Ministry of Ideas. Previously, he was the producer of WGBH's MASTERPIECE Studio podcast, where he also developed and produced the spinoff podcast, Mining Poldark. Before that, he was an associate producer at On Point With Tom Ashbrook at member station WBUR, where he also served as host and lead producer of WBUR's trial explanatory journalism podcast, The Explicast.
