Kevin Caners

I'm a Canadian radio and podcast producer based in Berlin, Germany with over 10 years of experience working in audio. 

Currently I'm working as an audio producer for The Economist, on their daily podcast "The Intelligence" 

I've also reported and produced several piece for 99% Invisible as well as PRI's The World, and I hosted and produced the podcast for the German book publisher TASCHEN. 

Much of my work has centered around conducting in-depth interviews with leading thinkers, artists, journalists, and broadcasters from Ira Glass and Wim Wenders to a who's who of Canadian Broadcasting. 

I'm particularly interested in stories having to do with design and history, but I am also fascinated by arts, politics and society at large.  One of my primary projects the past few years has been producing The Elephant, a podcast series exploring the challenges of climate change and potential solutions to the crisis. I contribute regularly to the Berlin cultural magazine Exberliner and my writing has also appeared in The Globe & Mail, and The Walrus. When I'm not listening to podcasts, or making radio myself there's a good chance you can find me riding my bike around Berlin, enjoying life lakeside, or reading about impossibly remote islands on Wikipedia.
