About Katrina
Katrina is a multimedia journalist whose focus is on race and culture reporting. She is currently interning for Borderless Magazine, a Chicago-based magazine covering immigrant and refugee communities. She also is a fellow for Northwestern University's Knight Lab, a digital news innovation center, and a staff writer and newsletter contributor for The Yappie, an AAPI politics and policy digital news outlet. In the past, Katrina interned for ABC 7 Chicago's Race & Culture News team, connecting with community organizations in Chicago to pitch stories for the newsroom. On campus, she's a part of a student newspaper, The Daily Northwestern, and was previously a Digital Managing Editor and Video Editor.
