Katie's Portfolio
I did story editing, sound design, and mixing/mastering for a five-episode narrative human rights show for Amnesty International Canada about anti-Black racism, surveillance, policing, and profiling.
I host and edit a narrative science show for Brain Canada. We talk to researchers, neuroscientists, and real people about all the weird & wonderful things that make our brains tick.
I produced an unconventional history show about the people behind Canada’s favourite hockey team for Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. I coached host talent & engineer in-studio recording sessions. I worked with archival resources to add punch & emotional impact to narrative.
I produced first two seasons of show looking at all the people, places and events regularly left out of Canadian history. The podcast was the first show to be acquired by CBC Podcasts. I performed remote recordings, edited scripts, worked with music libraries & conducted on-the-street field recordings. The podcast won Silver at 2020 NYF Radio Awards & was nominated for 2018 Digital Publication Awards.
