About Jennifer

I’ve been audiobooking since 2019, and loving it. Before audiobooks, I started a Readers Theatre group in my home town. I also created “Not Your Mother’s Storytime” – a radio show based on Selected Shorts on NRP. I then turned it into a podcast and a YouTube channel. One of the things I love about my YouTube channel is my listeners are 18-24 year old English 101 students. If I spark an interest in the classics for this new generation, I’ve done my job! I studied Theater at San Francisco State University, but my passion lies in stories read out loud.

Feminine Shorts: Stories Reflecting the Challenges of Being Female at the Turn of the 20th Century

This audiobook combines my podcast and audiobook persona. I pulled together my favorite feminist short stories and created an audiobook. I chose the stories that reflect how women felt back then; their struggles and triumphs.
