About Hauwa
Hauwa Otori is a Los Angeles-based writer, radio journalist, and podcast producer. Her work has appeared in Elle Magazine and Forbes and can be heard on Los Angeles’ KCRW as well as American Public Media’s Marketplace. Hauwa is the creator and executive producer of the Building Black Podcast with Hauwa Otori, a narrative show that deepens our understanding of what it takes to be an under-resourced founder.
Hauwa is an attorney, published author, and tech industry professional for over a decade. Currently, she serves on the Advisory Board for the Department of Communication at Cornell University. Hauwa graduated with honors from Cornell University, earning her Bachelors of Science in Communication with a minor in Applied Economics & Management. She also earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. When she is not in Los Angeles, you can find her exploring tech hubs such as London and Miami.
