Co-created with Jess Clark, we worked with New Orleans teens to tell stories about loved ones lost to gun violence.
I edited this award-winning series, produced by Laine Kaplan Levinson, which tells the New Orleans history stories you've never heard of.
I wrote and produced the history portion of this incredible series, chronicling the history of Haiti and Haitian influences on the music, culture, and community of New Orleans. Alex Lewis was the incredible lead producer and Cheryl Devall was our editor.
I reported and produced this episode on the public defender crisis for Reveal along with my co-producer Eve Troeh. Laura Starcheski was our incredible editor.
I reported and produced this episode for Reveal about Louisiana's three strikes law, a powerful driver for the state's sky-high incarceration rates. Laura Starcheski was editor extraordinaire.
Climate change is coming for your food. Over four episodes, travel to the American Heartland and meet the farmers who are battling increasingly severe weather. Agriculture accounts for an impossible to ignore 10 percent of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, so if we’re serious about fighting climate change, farmers need to be part of the solution. Hot Farm tells the stories of what farmers are doing, or could be doing, to combat climate change.
Banned is the narrative podcast that tells the story of how one Mississippi law ended the right to legal abortions in the United States — by overturning Roe v. Wade. Hosted by Rosemary Westwood, and edited by Eve Abrams, Banned is a production of WWNO New Orleans Public Radio and WRKF Baton Rouge Public Radio
Unprisoned is a radio show and podcast that tells the stories behind the statistics: the ways our families, neighborhoods, and notions of justice are impacted by our criminal justice system. How are we serving time outside? From New Orleans, the world's incarceration capital, Unprisoned investigates the myths we hold about our criminal legal system.
I loved producing this story for 30 for 30! According to local legend, the Louisiana Superdome was always a haunted place. First plagued by construction problems, then years of bad luck for the host Saints team — by 2005 those Saints were prepared to abandon the stadium in favor of a dreaded move to San Antonio. Then Hurricane Katrina hit, and somehow the dome became a symbol for a city’s rebirth. This is the story of New Orleans, through the story of its dome. Narrated by Tarriona “Tank” Ball of Tank and the Bangas.
