About Emily
I'm a full-time, independent public radio and video producer based in Charlottesville, VA. Currently, I'm producing Broken Ground, a podcast focused on environmental stories in the south, and Common Law, a podcast from the University of Virginia School of Law. I also write, produce and edit documentary video shorts for non-profits like the Southern Environmental Law Center.
Over the last several years, I have produced features for local public radio (WMRA, WVTF, Virginia Public Radio), plus sonic IDs and oral histories for WTJU at the University of Virginia.
Before moving into audio, I created "Wild Florida," a PBS nature series, and wrote and produced dozens of episodes for health, parenting and technology series for PBS, the Health Network, and the Discovery Health channel.
