About Claire
I currently produce for Feelings and Co, the production company that makes Terrible, Thanks for Asking and It's Going To Be Okay.
I am the Executive Producer and Co-Creator of Refamulating, a podcast that celebrate all the ways to make a family. We are currently in production and launching in March 2024.
Before podcasting, I was a reporter for NPR member stations in Austin and Indiana. I did on air work but was mostly an education reporter.
My passion is storytelling, and the thing that lights me up most is taking a ton of tape and coming up with the right story structure and narrative to make it pop for listeners.
Claire's Portfolio
I produce episodes for the award-winning podcast that lets people honestly answer the question, "how are you?”. I interview guests, write scripts, fact check episodes and create audio layups.
Check out this episode about the first year of grief, and hiking the Continental Divide trail, my essay on whether or not I should have kids, and this two part story on one couple’s divorce.
Missing Pages is podcast hosted by renowned literary critic and publishing insider Bethanne Patrick. Missing Pages uncovers the power struggles, mistaken identities, and unfathomably bad behavior within the secretive world of book publishing. Each episode brings in authors, experts, publishing insiders, and a circus of NYC media elites to tell the real story, unfit for print. Produced by The Podglomerate.
I produced multiple episodes in season 2, including the history of book bans, what books bans look like today, and this interview with author Jodi Picoult.
Democracy Decoded is a podcast from Campaign Legal Center, a DC based non-profit that uses the legal system to advocate for better democracy. Season 2 focuses on voting access and covers the history of voter suppression, what it's like to gain back the right to vote after a felony conviction, and what the 2020 election taught us about voting methods.
I worked with LWC Studios to write and produce each episode of season two.
“It’s Going To Be OK” is a hard thing to believe given the state of, oh, everything. Many things are, in fact, not going to be okay at all. But on the advice of a wise therapist, we’re on a quest to find one okay thing about every day. Each morning, the team at Feelings and Co. brings you a short story, essay, or interview about one thing that makes us — or our guests — feel like it might not all be so bad ... even if some things are. I am a producer for this daily show.
