About Austin
I'm a reporter and audio producer currently based in New York City. My audio experience over the past decade has ranged from establishing a news department at a radio station in my rural Colorado hometown to following stories throughout New York City for NPR's national desk. My journalism has appeared in local, regional, and national publications and podcasts, including 99% Invisible, the Washington Post Magazine, and NBC. I speak French, Spanish, and conversational Hindi, and have worked and studied in Belgium, Spain, and northern India. I hold a master's degree in international reporting from the City University of New York and a B.A. in political science from Oberlin College.
