About Allison
I am the founder and host of EAR TO THE PAVEMENT, a podcast in association with Progressive City, a network of progressive urban planners. I have worked in print, radio, and film. I researched and produced MY BROOKLYN (2012), a feature documentary film about the forces behind the gentrification of Downtown Brooklyn's Fulton Mall. Prior, I researched and produced SOMEPLACE LIKE HOME in conjunction with FUREE (Families United for Racial and Economic Equality). Radio work includes stints with Living on Earth and WNYC's Soundcheck & Studio 360, and as a professor of media at Brooklyn College.
