Teaching Texas is a podcast detailing the surprising history behind America's latest culture war - education. The host Grace Lynch takes the listener through the history of how has Texas controlled American education for the last sixty years, and ends by examining how this history shapes our present day.
I was one of the producers on Teaching Texas - writing three episodes and producing four.
The Goop Pursuit is a four-part audio series that takes listeners on an intimate journey of learning and unlearning.
I produced the episode Finding Beauty, where host Jodie Patterson explores capital-"B" beauty through intimate interviews with her personal 'collage of women'. The episode both troubles and expands the concept of beauty - revealing the transformative power it holds.
Mother-daughter duo Jamie Zelermyer and Karen Zelermyer investigate the disappearance of their friend Marsha "Mudd" Ferber and explore her evolution from suburban housewife to back-to-the-land hippie to drug-dealing bar owner. They also reflect on their own history and involvement in the Back to the Land movement - and how Marsha's story intersects and intertwines with their own.
I was a junior producer on this project - I wrote one episode, and produced two.
