In this session, attendees will hear about secure tools they can use for virtual creative collaboration and gain an understanding of fundamental security concepts, terms, and techniques from Nathan Hewitt. Beginning with the basics of digital security, the presentation will move into an overview of how digital security apps work, take a look at some common ones, and share a couple of advanced tips. By implementing secure methods of communication and collaboration, we can keep each other safe.
Nathan Hewitt works at the intersections of art, sound, technology, and non-traditional philanthropy. As part of the Fractured Atlas programs team, he supports the work of thousands of artists and collectives across the United States. He also writes about digital security, nonprofit strategy, and fundraising basics. Nathan is a former college and community radio deejay, and is excited to share tools, techniques, and concepts that will help the AIR community and their collaborators keep each other safe.
