Senior Podcast Producer
Glass Podcasts is looking for an experienced audio producer to help lead a new episodic podcast in the role of Senior Producer. This series will be a true crime/human interest series. The Senior Producer will be involved in every step of the show, including episode development, research, interview prep, and producing episodes production team. This position will work remotely with our production team, but New York based is a plus.
As the senior producer and writer, you will manage many aspects of the show production such as: coordinating schedules and deadlines, identifying and locking guest talent, segment creation, producing pre-interviews, shaping episodic/narrative structures, writing scripts, and working with and organizing tape.

Day-to-day tasks include:
- Research on the subject of the podcast, interview subjects, storylines, and episode themes for the podcast. Collaborate with the host to identify the right stories and interviewees.
- Responsible for writing each episode. Collaborating with the host on writing host narration.
- Pulling selects of from raw material and stringing out tape on descript
- Need to be able to edit on Audition and Descript
- Work collaboratively with a small production team, including the host, executive producer, editors, and engineers.
- Set deadlines, clearly communicate those deadlines, and keep the team on track and working toward its goals.
- Work with the host in identifying key voices for the story, pre-interview at times, and interview these subjects when applicable.
- Screen fine cuts with the Executive Producer and work through creative notes.
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in audio production (either video or audio)
- A strong background in storytelling and producing, ideally with a background in true crime / human interest stories.
- Comfort with cold outreach and booking guests for the talk show program.
Preferred:
- Experience in podcast storytelling, including the ability to identify good subjects, theme, and stories to create the tone and direction of an episode and a season of the podcast.
- Ability to work with and collaborate with a production team and help guide and shape the direction of the show
- Ability to manage a production schedule and storylines, as well as collaborate with the team to ensure recording time works for both host and guest.
- Ability to work remotely from a “home station.”
- Experience working on a tight production schedule and translating ideas into action
- Strong ability to keep open lines of communication on a team and with guests booked on the program.
- A knack for delivering clear, conscientious feedback on both stories and performance
Dates:
Starting: Mid July, with some flexibility
Ending: 02/19/2027, with some flexibility
Rate: $2000/weekly, 40/hrs a week
