• 2017 Third Coast Radio Residency
Deadline: February 15, 2017
Details: A week in April for eight to ten producers to work on their respective audio projects in Ragdale, Illinois. Producers will receive one-on-one mentoring, along with subsidized travel as well as room and board. Participants pay $210 for the entire residency.
• Spotlight Investigative Journalism Fellowship
Deadline: March 1, 2017
Details: Fellows may receive up to $100,000 to pursue an investigative reporting project on “serious wrongdoing and abuse of power in the public or private sector.” The fellow(s) will will receive support, mentoring and editorial guidance from the editorial team at “The Boston Globe.”
• University of California Berkeley Food and Farming Journalism Fellowship
Deadline: March 15, 2017
Details: A $10,00 award is given to ten early and mid-career print and audio journalists to produce longform stories under the subject of food systems.This includes agricultural and nutritional policy, the food industry, food science and much more.
