About Samira
Samira Tazari (she/her) is a freelance podcast and audio producer with a decade of experience. She’s worked on shows for Audible, Spotify, Slate, Meadowlark Media and more.
Most recently, she reported and produced the Sports Explains the World episode The Skullman Cometh all about an unlikely story involving Lithuanian basketball, an iconic T-shirt and the Grateful Dead. She’s been a producer for several long form narrative podcasts including Apple’s Podcast of the Year: season 7 of Slow Burn (Slate) and Beast Master (Audible.) Before freelancing, Samira worked as a producer at Slate Studios and Spotify.
Samira earned her Bachelor's degree in Television-Radio-Film and Russian Language at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and completed a graduate certificate at Salt Institute for Documentary Studies at the Maine College of Art.
