About Rachel

I am so glad to be welcoming you to this space! As an audio editor, I am committed to making sure that the message you want to get across to your audience shines through. The journey that brought me to pursue audio editing professionally has been a long one and I want to make sure you know a little bit about me. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies in 2012 and a Master of Arts in Public and Nonprofit Administration in 2020, both from Metropolitan State University.  As I've moved through my career, which has ultimately been primarily in post-secondary education, I've found that my passion truly lies in helping others tell their stories.

Outside of my professional life, I've been married to Nathan since 2010 and we have three children.

GraysMatter Podcast
Justin Grays is a Black, queer, polyamorous sci-fi enthusiast who has a lot of things on xyr mind. In this show, Justin talks to xyr friends about society and current events, which invariably gets connected to Star Trek in one way or another.

My part in this show is as the audio editor. Justin typically has between 1 and 3 guests with conversation recorded on a single track. I use Adobe Audition to attempt to equalize sound and improve the flow of conversation.
What the Finance
I co-host What the Finance with Cheyenne Mikkola-Rahja. I also research episode topics, book guests, and produce and publish weekly episodes.

What the Finance also has a Discord server that I am an administrator of.
Life After the Uniform
Life After the Uniform helps those serving in the United States armed forces prepare for retirement by sharing stories of those who have retired and explaining the complex world of veterans' benefits.

My part in this show is as the audio editor and post-production mixer. Erin is joined each week by one guest with conversation recorded on a single track. I use Adobe Audition to attempt to equalize sound and improve the flow of conversation. I also add in the intro and outro music.
