About Patrick
I'm a reporter and podcast producer at Texas Monthly, and since 2021 I've produced narrative series including "White Hats," about the complicated legacy of the Texas Rangers law enforcement agency, and "America’s Girls," about the history and cultural impact of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
Before that, I was an investigative reporter at Reveal where I reported and produced award-winning stories on immigration and climate disaster. Before I got into audio reporting, I was a magazine writer with the Texas Observer in Austin and the alt-weekly Dallas Observer.
Patrick's Portfolio
I reported and produced this piece for Reveal about one of the toughest immigration judges in the country, based in part on confidential complaints about her behavior on the bench, particularly her treatment of transgender women. It received a 2020 Murrow award for investigative reporting.
