About Natalie
I've worked in radio at Iowa Public Radio as a talk show intern and in the Iowa newsroom of NextGenRadio 2023.
I've also worked at The Daily Iowan as a news reporter, news editor, politics reporter, politics editor, digital producer, and assistant digital editor. Additionally, I am a strategic communications and marketing intern at the University of Iowa College of Education.
My storytelling skills include Audition editing, breaking news writing, feature writing, social media, and digital production.
I'm most passionate about human interest stories.

This is a multimedia package featuring Hazim Mohamed. His children were in Sudan when violence broke out in April, and he feared he would never see his kids again. With his kids safely back in Iowa, Mohamed reckons with his concept of home. For this project I learned new Audition editing skills and how to create digital elements such as storymaps and audiograms.
