About Nancy

Hi, I’m Nancy. I’m an award-winning podcast producer and documentary audio journalist based in Minneapolis. I love the craft of audio storytelling and have a versatile background creating sound-rich narrative work as well as producing weekly interview content on deadline.

Most recently, I worked as a contract producer to develop and launch new podcasts for Minnesota Public Radio and Lemonada Media as well as scoring and audio production for several APM Reports investigative podcasts. I have also produced two feature-length audio documentaries about 20th century Minneapolis social history that have aired statewide on Minnesota Public Radio.

My award-winning audio features about Minnesota people, arts and culture have aired on NPR’s Weekend All Things Considered and Here and Now as well as the BBC, The World and Latino USA. I have been recognized with multiple awards for my radio and digital features reporting by the Minnesota chapter of the Society for Professional Journalists including best audio feature (2018).

I’m a graduate of the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. I got my start in public media as a staff producer for On Being (2009-13) and American RadioWorks (later known as APM Reports, 2008-9).
