About Morgan

Morgan Springer is an independent story editor and audio producer based in the Northeast. She helps podcasting companies, public radio stations and non-profits tell strong narrative-driven stories.

Before striking out as an independent, Morgan was the host/producer of the weekly show NEXT from the New England News Collaborative, a ten-station consortium of public radio newsrooms. Before working with the NENC, she served as news director and reporter for Interlochen Public Radio, where she launched and co-hosted a weekly show Points North. Her work has been featured on NPR, numerous public radio stations in New England and the Midwest, WHYY's "The Pulse" and National Native News.

Morgan has an undergraduate degree in International Studies from Earlham College. After graduating, she did a stint as the constituent services coordinator for the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office before leaving to work at a garden center. In 2014, she went to the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies to study radio and documentary film, bringing her briefly back to her home state of Maine.
