Mike Leach

​I’ve been playing, recording, writing and mixing music for almost 30 years. At this point in my life I’m pretty convinced it’s what I love to do and am passionate about. Growing up in the Washington, DC and Baltimore area, I was well aware of the vibrant music scene. I couldn’t help but to soak in the history, from Duke Ellington to Danny Gatton to Chuck Brown to Fugazi and much more greatness in between. It’s really stuck with me and reminds me constantly of the depth and vastness of music. ​ I’ve been very fortunate to work with a variety of artists over my career, as a drummer, engineer and composer, and still have the drive to dig deeper and push my music and engineering skills. I love music, film, and collaboration. My music composition style is less orchestrated and more sound design oriented but always supports the story. Make it interesting, but never take away from the narrative.
