About Katie
Katie McMurran is a sound engineer with over ten years experience in public radio.
I'm currently an audio engineer at KQED. As a freelancer, I have engineered tape syncs for over 5 years. I've also mixed several podcasts, including Vox Media's "Today, Explained," Radiotopia's "Mortified" and The Leakey Foundation's "Origin Stories." My music recording experience includes recording bands/ensembles for Pandora, Sofar Sounds and the Aspen Music Festival. I also donate recording time to several nonprofits.
For many years I toiled in the trenches of audio book production as an audio editor of books published by Harper Collins, Random House and Hachette.
