About Jenny

I help people tell their stories, engage communities and build stuff. I got my professional start in media as a daily talk show producer and bring a producer's lens to everything I do. In 2009, I as part of a beta Localore initiative, I created "The Corner: 23rd and Union," an interactive public art installation that amplified hundreds of stories about gentrification. Next I built KUOW's RadioActive Youth Media, a program that has engaged thousands of youth in leadership development and storytelling, has launched careers and produced Murrow and Gracie award-winning stories. There I honed a deep love for program building and leadership development. I earned a Masters in Public Administration in 2017. I deeply value and am committed to justice, love, and creativity. I'm also an artist with roots in the DIY music scene. I'll sing karaoke with you anytime. Currently I'm helping to start a maker space for podcasters, helping organizations develop podcasts to tell their stories, and available for freelance editorial work. I'm especially interested in working on stories about culture, gender, history, family, and identity. (They/them)
