- Brooklyn, NY
James is available forI'm looking to be part of scripted audio fiction/audio drama/radio drama productions, as well as narrative non-fiction programs.
I'm an outgoing native New Yorker who grew up in a home with three generations of family. Think of it like Saturday Night Fever, meets Home Alone, meets Woody Allen’s Radio Days. I had close relationships with both his grandparents and great-grandparents, being exposed to an invaluable amount of local culture. It helped me become a passionate actor, writer, director, and student of New York City history.
I produce a monthly docu-podcast on the history of American network (CBS/NBC/ABC) radio broadcasting called Breaking Walls - http://thewallbreakers.com/, and am in development for a new historical fiction audio drama soap opera set in 1835 NYC called Burning Gotham (http://burninggotham.com/). I’m also an acting member within an audio drama troupe called The Fireside Mystery Theatre (https://www.firesidemysterytheatre.com/), and a board member for a California-based radio preservation group called SPERDVAC (https://www.sperdvac.com/).
I'm a graduate of Xavier High School in Manhattan, Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and have spent over a decade working in media for companies such as Condé Nast, and Hearst.
I’m looking to connect with anyone interested in the history of radio and/or creating or interested in scripted audio fiction... Or anyone who read the above paragraph and is interested in connecting with me!
