About Itxy
Hi, I'm Itxy Quintanilla. I'm an audio journalist and podcast producer based in Los Angeles, CA. I enjoy telling nuanced and thoughtful stories through audio and writing.
I was most recently a producer on the Spotify exclusive podcast ARCHETYPES hosted by Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. The podcast recently won the People's Choice Award for pop podcast of 2022.
Prior to Spotify/Gimlet, I worked as a podcast producer at OBB Sound, and before that, I worked at NPR member station KPCC. There, I produced and directed the local news and culture show Take Two with A Martinez, who is now host of NPR’s Morning Edition.
While at KPCC, I also produced live talk shows, newscasts, and reported stories and non-narrated features.
I began her career in audio journalism as an intern at NPR in Washington D.C., and soon after, as an intern at member station KCRW in Santa Barbara. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in art.
