About India
I'm NYC born and bred audio producer, with South Asian (Indian) and Dutch roots. I started my career in the narrative film and documentary industry in New York and Los Angeles and did two stints in Mumbai and Berlin. But when the pandemic hit in 2020, I decided to pivot to the audio world. Later that year I decided to create a podcast series called Eating America with India, where I explore the different diasporas across the US and discuss multiculturalism and immigration through the lens of food. The experience propelled me into narrative non-fiction audio, which I worked in for two years at SONY. I worked on several shows, from development to publish on a variety of issues and fascinating topics ranging from art smuggling to international adoption. Currently I am a freelance producer on TIME's new flagship podcast, Person of the Week, a conversation show with leaders and change-makers. I am currently on the look out for my next project and am open to conversation shows, narrative non-fiction and documentary film and television.
India's Portfolio
I produced five episodes of SONY's weekly history series highlighting under represented people in history. I booked guests, interviewed them, and wrote the episodes. The one linked below was chosen as Spotify's "Episodes You Don't Want to Miss" list.
I associate produced the series investigating international adoption, from the point of view of a Guatemalan, indigenous adoptee, Diego, and his American documentary filmmaker, Laurie.
I associate produced this series, examining the controversial figure, Don King.
I associate produced this series, investigating the truth behind a Miami drug smuggler's Picasso ceramic, allegedly gifted to Hemingway from Picasso and stolen during the Cuban Revolution.
While at Vespucci, I discovered the journalist and story behind the audio project, "Joy Boy."
Narrated by Steve Buscemi, this is the story of Gosnell Duncan and his many dicks. After being handicapped in a work-related accident, Caribbean-born Gosnell was paralyzed from the waist down. A life-long lothario and passionate husband, Gosnell used his engineering knowledge to craft a new invention: the world’s first silicone dildo.
While at Vespucci, I discovered the journalist and story behind the audio project, "The Battle of Bamber Bridge."
1943. While World War II rages, a different kind of battle takes over a British village in Lancashire where US troops are stationed. Throughout their service, Black American troops had faced daily bigotry and racism from their own countrymen. One night, the tension erupts into violence and the sleepy, unremarkable village of Bamber Bridge becomes a battleground between two Americas.

Explore the ethnic diasporas across the United States through the lens of food. On this series you'll hear from chefs and restaurant owners as we discuss immigration, race, gentrification and the history of their cuisine. 100,000 restaurants have closed since the start of the pandemic, only adding more urgency in supporting these small businesses who add to the richness of American multiculturalism. Hosted and produced by India Witkin.

I am currently one of the producers on TIME's new flagship podcast, Person of the Week. Every week, Charlotte Alter, TIME senior correspondent, hosts a candid conversation with the people who shape our world, about the forces that shape them. So far, I've produced interviews with Bumble's Whitney Wolf-Herd; Pulitzer prize winner, James Ijames; Gen Z congressman, Maxwell Frost; Governor of Maryland, Wes Moore and Sex and the City author, Candace Bushnell.
