About Hans

Independent audio producer, editor, and teacher. Formerly of The New York Times and American Public Media.
 
My favorite work is consultation and training -- helping others realize their passions and ideas. I believe in deep collaboration, equitable working practices, and ethical standards for content.
 
I love all parts of producing, but especially shine in post-production work, including cutting, sound design and music composition. I often work in the spaces of feelings, emotions and personal lived experiences.
 
I have built several shows, including Terrible, Thanks for Asking and 74 Seconds, which won a Peabody Award and the Third Coast/Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Documentary Gold Award.
 
I have also worked on dozens of other shows, ranging from chat, to advice, to radio variety, to actual-play role-playing.

This is the story of that man, Philando Castile, and the officer who is about to go on trial for his death, Jeronimo Yanez.
