About Elaine

Elaine spent 20 years as a magazine editor and writer covering business, entrepreneurship, health, and the environment before moving into public radio. In 2003, she started her public radio career as a producer on WBUR's two-hour daily live call-in show, The Connection. Later, she served as New Hampshire Public Radio's health reporter and fill-in host on NHPR's two shows, Word of Mouth and The Exchange. From 2012 to early 2015, she was the senior producer of Colorado Matters at Colorado Public Radio. Today she runs Appleton Studios, Inc., a virtual agency that provides soup-to-nuts podcast production to a variety of clients, along with other kinds of editorial consulting and training. She also produces an independent podcast, One More Shot (www.onemoreshotpodcast.com) about people who are reinventing their personal, professional, or creative lives.
