About Anne

Anne has a Masters of Business Administration from Rutgers University and has an unbridled love of mathematics, spreadsheets, and organization. For her day job, Anne manages operations for a real estate investment company. She is also one of the co-founders and the Chief Operating Officer of Hug House Productions, a podcast collective that focuses on spotlighting stories by and about marginalized groups. If Anne isn't consumed by one of their many jobs, she can usually be found listening to musical soundtracks or podcasts or frolicking in a field of horses.

VALENCE is a serialized fiction podcast by Hug House Productions featuring a full cast and full sound design. VALENCE is an urban fantasy audio drama that deals with themes of abuse, trauma, queer identity, marginalization, rebellion, found family, breaking cycles, and hope. Thematically, VALENCE is a realistic drama with the energy of an espionage-heavy political thriller, an 80’s John Hughes romance, and character-heavy Noah Baumbach indies. Think The Magicians handled with realism, or Mr. Robot handled with whimsy.
Scoring Magic
Scoring Magic is a podcast by Hug House Productions documenting every step of their process. Seasons 1 and 2 of Scoring Magic follow Anne Baird, Katie Youmans, and Wil Williams as they make their first fiction podcast, VALENCE. They share tips, tricks, and resources, but also what it’s like to work on a massive creative project with friends.
Radio Drama Revival
Radio Drama Revival is one of the internet’s longest running anthology audio drama shows, with the goal of showcasing the diversity and vitality of modern audio fiction. To date, Radio Drama Revival has featured hundreds of hours of audio stories, interviews, and other special features. The hosts have interviewed creators and artists ranging in age from 17 to 70 and have showcased some of the stand out hits of the contemporary audio drama scene.
Hubris: A 24-Hour Podcast Project
Hubris is a labor of love from a chaotic group of podcasters who decided a 24-hour podcast challenge sounded like a good idea. We assemble several Creative Teams from a large group of podcasters from around the world, made up of writers, audio producers, and voice actors to create single-episode fiction podcasts within a 24-hour period from start to finish. Once the creation period was up, we release of all of the episodes in a public feed for everyone to enjoy!
