About Amber
I'm a recent journalism graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University where I served as the Editor-in-Chief of my school's digital-first newspaper, The Beacon Today. I'm currently a freelancer for WLRN, South Florida's NPR member station.
I have a passion for telling extraordinary stories from ordinary people in my local South Florida community and beyond. I'm looking for opportunities where I can help report, produce, write, or voice stories primarily for podcasts (but I'm open to radio inquiries).
I believe radio/podcasts can augment and broaden storytelling. I have a deep appreciation not only for the work reporters put into creating a show but also for how purposeful every decision must be to capture an atmosphere, an emotion, or an intention.
I received the Communicator Award of Distinction for Features Host and First Place in audio for the Florida Society of News Editors contest for my podcast, "Up-And-Coming Gen Z Confronts Anxiety, Depression and Stress”.
